we're back!

Hello world! I decided I would try and put a little more effort into this sad excuse for a blog from here on out. We miss our family and friends!! so maybe this will help keep in touch with everyone a little more.

Heres what didn't get 'blogged'
(maybe, I guess I should have checked before I decided to write this):
After finishing one semester of BYU's grad program we dropped our fall classes and left, spent a month backpacking in Malaysia and Singapore, spent a week in Mammoth, moved into a sweet condo in Tucson, started school at University of Arizona, have a new ward, and got really good at being unemployed. Cool.

Last weekend we stayed at Corey and Bridgette's in Utah for conference. We went to Jonny's mission reunion. They live in England and won't be having a lot of reunions so we jumped on it, plus we could go somewhere that we have friends!!! Yippie!

Yesterday we went on our very first bike ride in Tucson. Tucson is pretty flat and pretty dang hot so it seemed sketchy, but we found this rec trail really close to our house that is really shady and along a little river. We were pumped.
*ps- one thing I really like about Tucson is all the weird artsie dessert stuff everywhere. Check out the bottom right corner, this stuff is everywhere... on the freeways, stop lights, everything has little dessert deco.
On our ride we found this really awesome soccer field that turned out to be a really awesome gigantic part that had everything a person would ever come to a park for. The basketball courts are covered and has tons of lights, there were like 6 full sized soccer fields that actually had goal posts. There was an equestrian area, tons of grass and play gyms. There were even two separate dog park areas. People were bbqing all over the place, and someone had even set up speakers and turned on the "I'm blue badadebadadie" song hahaha.
.... but the best part was this water area! This little section had buckets that filled up with water and tipped over, water shooting out of the ground, and little hoses that you could aim. It was crazy. I always heard areas had little water parks like this but this was the first time I saw one.
and me at the water park (next to a sign that says the water recycles. kind of sick haha)

So there you have it. Proof that classes and clients do not control my thoughts every waking/sleeping hour of my life. This is a lie-but i'm working on it.
